Applicants will no longer be asked up front whether they have a criminal record. However later on in the interview process individuals will receive a back ground check. Giving them the opportunity to explain their conviction and hopefully avoid being discriminated upfront. As usual it will be up to the employers as to whether or not they will or will not hire that person.
