Bronx rapper Fat Joe was detained by police in Madison, Wisconsin last night after a 33-year-old Madison woman accused him of sexual assault. The woman told the authorities that Fat Joe, born Joseph Cartagena, and his entourage sexually assaulted her in a Cadillac limo. No arrests have been made in the case and the incident is still under investigation. The incident occurred after a Fat Joe performance at The Orpheum Theater in Madison. According to police, “shortly after the concert had concluded … [the woman] found herself inside of a Cadillac Limousine with Joseph Cartagena and other male subjects all with the destination of a hotel located on Madison’s west side.”
The investigation is ongoing.
