As we know October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and did you know the National Cancer Institute estimates almost 232,670 new cases of breast cancer in women! and even close to 2,360 cases in men in 2014 in the United States alone! Check out these 14 celebrities who have faced breast cancer:
* Joan Lunden. In June 2014, a tumor was identified in the former “Good Morning America” co-host’s right breast, which a core biopsy later confirmed to be cancer. She took immediate action and is already undergoing chemotherapy.
*Giuliana Rancic. The E! News host and star of E!’s “Giuliana & Bill” show was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer in October 2011.
*Andrea Mitchell. NBC chief foreign affairs correspondent was diagnosed with breast cancer in late August 2011 after an annual screening.
*Wanda Sykes. comedienne discovered she had “stage-zero” breast cancer during a follow-up to her breast reduction surgery in 2011.
