(Via Ballerstatus) Forbes released its annual “Forbes 400” list Monday (September 16), breaking down the richest people in America. And… for the 20th year in the row, Microsoft founder Bill Gates tops the list.

The 57-year-old hits the list with a staggering net worth of $72 billion. In addition to being the richest in America, he’s also reclaimed the title of world’s richest person from Mexico’s Carlos Slim.

Business magnate Warren Buffett, again, lands at #2 on the list with $58.5 billion, adding $12.5 billion to his net worth.

At #3 is Oracle founder Larry Ellison with a fortune of $41 billion; Koch Industries CEO Charles Koch and his brother David tie at #4 with $36 billion; and Walmart heiress Christy Walton and the family lands at #6 with $35.6 billion.

Other notables on the list are as follows:

  • Michael Bloomberg (NYC major) – $31 billion
  • Jeff Bezos (Amazon.com CEO) – $27.2 billion2
  • Larry Page (Google) $24.9 billion
  • Sergey Brin (Google) $24.4 billion
  • Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook) $19 billion
  • Phil Knight (Nike Co-Founder) $16.3 billion
  • Rupert Murdoch (News Corp.) $13.4 billion
  • Ralph Lauren – $7.7 billion
  • Elon Musk (Telsa Motors) – $6.7 billion
  • David Geffen (Geffen Records/Dreamworks) – $6 billion

The list also includes various sports teams owners with the NFL boasting more than any other league — 14 of them to be exact. Among other are Cowboys owner Jerry Jones with $3 billion, Patriots owner Robert Kraft with $2.9 billion, and Rams owner Stan Kroenke with $5.3 billion.
