When I was a kid I wanted to fly planes. At 12 I joined Civil Air Patrol, which is the official civilian auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force. C.A.P. Teaches young kids aerospace education. It handles 80% of civilian air search and rescue in the United States. I have included some pictures of my days as a cadet.

The George Lucas film Red Tails flies into theaters today! It tells the heroic story of the Tuskegee Airmen – and how they fought battles in their own country, before they showed extreme bravery as airmen during World War II. The film boasts and all-Black Cast – one that’s cause a bit of an uproar in the media after George Lucas revealed how hard a time he had getting it made. Red Tails stars Terrence Howard, Cuba Gooding Jr., Ne-Yo, Tristan Wilds, Nate Parker and more.
