Now this is one I wasn’t expecting to hear today. Check out this smoldering new single from one of R&B’s most adorable couples – Que, formerly of Day26 and that sangin’ sista Dawn Richards, of Dirty Money and Danity Kane fame.

These two have come together to give us a nice little diddy (no pun intended) about freely falling in and/or out of love depending on which way you look at the lyric sheet. I think it’s a hot one to be honest. Always loved Dawn to pieces because that girl can sing just about anything and write to just about anything, too. But the real gem here is that Que actually stepped up and showed out on this one.

Now we already know Making The Band’s Que (aka Quanell Mosley) and Dawn may have been a part of groups that disbanded, but the couple are still going strong. The two have collaborated on this new single which is expected to appear on Que’s upcoming solo project. No word on when that project will be complete, but stay tuned because you know somebody’s bound to spill the tea on that one real soon.

Be sure to pay attention to the groove and their use of double-stacked background vocals. I love how both of them sing together and are harmonizing something serious. It’s a bit busy and layered, but I think that once you focus on the leads versus the backgrounds, you’ll get why.

It’s like an emotional and musical conversation between a couple striving to express the sentiments of their heart. Dope concept if you ask me, but enough of my musical analysis. Listen to the tune for yourself in the media player provided below.
