It’s bittersweet thinking that someone is dead set on making money off the of Michael Jackson’s unreleased catalog of music throughout the years, but let’s be totally honest with ourselves. The man was a musical genius so it does make sense that whatever music is hidden out there is waiting for the rest of the world. I personally believe that Michael Jackson would’ve released the unheard records if he wanted to, but I guess this is why his musical legacy will continue for years and years to come.

Reports this week on CNN highlight plans for the unreleased and forgotten music samples and full recordings to become available to the general public as early as this November – a few months after the one year anniversary of the late King of Pop who’s birthday we will be celebrating towards the end of the month. How does that make you feel? It’s music we’ll never see live (unless there’s a private or pre-recorded concert lurking around somewhere) and it’ll cost a fortune – maybe.

Hit-making R&B super producer Rodney Jerkins, who co-produced Jackson’s 2001 album “Invincible,” has been working with Sony to put together the new album, a source familiar with the project said. The source asked not to be identified because he was not authorized by the record label to disclose details. Reportedly Jackie Jackson, one of the singer’s older brothers, has also been working in a studio to help prepare the album, which will include 10 previously unheard songs, according to Jackson estate spokesman Jim Bates.
