Hey Cincinnati! It’s been a crazy few weeks around here so I haven’t been able to catch up on my top picks for television as I’d like to, but don’t worry, because Don Juan FaSho hasn’t forgotten you all.

There’s one major event that just took place in this wild and wonderful world we call Hip Hop and that’s the incredibly energetic and exciting VH1 Hip Hop Honors, the annual celebration of the best in this genre. The show is tailor-made for real Hip Hop fans and supporters and it really does get bigger and better every single year.

Did any of you actually watch, too? Did you catch the reruns like some of us here at 101.1 The Wiz? I finally caught a glimpse of the hype over the weekend which everyone has been telling me about.

I’m posting my review below of some of the highlights from the show below, but now I want to know what you thought of it all. So don’t forget to post your thoughts in the comments section below to clue me in on your response to this year’s VH1 Hip Hop Honors.

I thought the VH1 Hip Hop Honors  was off the hook and the best performance by far was the Timbaland tribute.. Missy Elliott came out in her 1980’s Adidas jump suit with shell toes to match and had the best performance by far and received an excellent crowd response. I feel Timbaland has brought his own Unique style to hip hop by incorporating  beat boxing and natural sounds into his beats.. Which at the time no one was doing this.  Thats why I felt he deserved his VH1 Hip Hop Honor Fasho!  What are your thoughts?

While you’re reminiscing on the show with me, check out this exclusive photo gallery of some of the Hip Hop artists you might still be raving about since the show.
