America's Next Top Model season three runner-up Yaya DaCosta has been quite busy since we last saw her on the show.

To some, it might actually be surprising to find out today’s beauty and fashion update is about our girl Yaya DaCosta.

Do you remember her? She was the runner-up on season three of Tyra Banks‘ famed America’s Next Top Model reality series/competition, the same season another beautiful face – Eva Pigford – took home the title.

We know both of them have been busy ever since, but Yaya seems to really have buckled down behind the scenes and off the glamorous runway proving she sported the title of always being “the smart one” on the show. She’s been modeling all over the place and we’ve got the proof to back it up.

Yaya DaCosta, a Brown University alum and dancer, turned her face toward the sky and dreamed big enough to snag some acting gigs with roles in films like the upcoming The Kids Are All Right and even appeared in the hit ABC series, Ugly Betty.

She’s also added a few more print features to her modeling portfolio with the recent June/July issue of Esquire magazine. At Esquire, DaCosta was also named the “Woman of the Summer 2010.” You go girl!
