Moriyyah Israel lost custody of 11 of her 15 children. She has been charged with child endangering after leaving her daughter, Binah, behind in a Westside Walmart. Reports state that once she was contacted about her child wandering the store she claimed Binah was not hers. As the story unfolds we’ve learned that the mother was overwhelmed and it was merely an accident.
Countless stories have surfaced here in this city regarding mother’s leaving their children behind and on occasion the outcomes have been fatal. Remember the story in 2008 where a child was left in a car by an Assistant Principal and died after being neglected for several hours in 90° heat.
