More than 100 churches, including Florence Methodist, participated in the worldwide event known as “Night to Shine.”

All of the students had their hair and makeup done and received flowers and a crown.

Organizers said it’s all about giving them the full experience.

“To me, it’s a red carpet. But to them, it’s so much more. So (it’s) really focusing on every little detail to make their night just incredible,” event organizer Kevin Meyer said. VIa:Wlwt
