Moments ago, the Justice Department has announced the resignation of US Attorney General, Eric Holder. Holder, who was the first African American to hold the prestigious title, has held the position for 6 years. He will hold his title until a new Attorney General has been confirmed.

Over the Labor Day weekend, Holder broke the news with President Obama. He will hold a Press Conference this afternoon to officially announce his stepping down.
