Sunday Word From Ms. Ebony J

Have you ever recieved a gift that you never opened? Are opened a present that you thought you were too young/ old for?  Don’t waste your gifts. Don’t be embarrassed about the gifts that god has given you. Know that he didn’t everyone the same gifts; he gave you what he gave you because it’s in his will for you to fulfill his purpose with the gift.  Make sure you use them to magnify him and to change lives.  Once you realize and accept the gifts in which God has given your life will be so much easier. I know it may seem like a big responsibility but I promise that the reward will be much greater. Use your gifts today!

Scripture:

“Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.” Romans 12: 6-8

Testimony:

Since I was a little girl I was involved in the church. I was a part of praise ministry, drama ministry, choir and prayer team. As I got older I began to be a part of more organizations that enhanced my gifts, which included mime dancing and writing poetry. Once I started college, these gift I once used I put away and haven’t used consistently in a long time. Now that it’s been so long it’s hard to reconnect and fall back in love with all these old things. I have to remain humble so that I do not use my gifts in the wrong way. It takes a lot of patience.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, Thank You for blessing me. I am grateful for the many gifts that you have given me and I plan to use them to serve your will.  I ask that you lead and guide me to use and not abuse your will. Amen.
