These famous folks all have something in common . . . an imperfection, a defect or deformity. Some noticeable, some not so much. The main thing they have in common is they never let it stand in the way of success.
1. Musiq Soulchild
The musician is almost always seen wearing sunglasses. One of his eyes is not normally positioned, possibly deemed exotropia. He stated in an interview that at the age of two his uncle accidentally stabbed his eye with a fork.
2. Kate Bosworth
She belongs to a small group of people with heterochromia iridium – two different eye colors. Other celebrities with the unique condition include Mila Kunis, Kiefer Sutherland and Elizabeth Berkley.

Megan Fox has a common deformity known as clubbed thumb, or Brachydactyly. It’s a genetic condition characterized by short, bulbous thumbs and wide nail beds.
5. Seal
There have always been rumors surrounding Seal’s facial scarring – from him being forced to undergo an ancient African scarring ritual to being bitten by a lion. But Seal’s scars are actually the result of discoid lupus erythematosus, a skin condition that affects areas above the neck.
6. Andy Garcia
This Oscar nominated actor was born with a conjoined twin attached to his shoulder. It wasn’t until he was a toddler that doctors surgically removed the unformed fetus.
7. Sanaa Lathan

8. Ashton Kutcher & Mila Kunis
The actor revealed that he has webbed toes. His explanation for the deformity? “When everything else is this good looking something’s gotta be messed up!” Also, his fiancee, Mila Kunis, has the condition heterochromia iridium – two different eye colors.
9. Stevie Wonder
The singer, songwriter, musician and the recipient of numerous awards has been blind since he was a premature baby as a result of receiving too much oxygen in the incubator.
10. Gerard Butler (Right)
This sexy Scottish actor has a deformed ear. When he was a child he suffered from a defect that left him with uneven ears and deaf in his right ear.
11. Denzel Washington
He broke his right pinky finger during a childhood basketball accident and never had it set correctly so it is still crooked to this day.
12. Vince Vaughn
The actor lost the tip of his right thumb in a car accident when he was 17. Making a joke, he says it looks like a penis with a fingernail.
13. Forest Whitaker
When asked about his famous lazy left eye, he stated that he inherited the condition from his father. He has considered having it fixed but only because it affects his vision.
14. Jennifer Garner
She has a condition known as brachymetatarsia in which one or more toe bones are much shorter than the others and gives the appearance of being mangled.
15. Damon Wayans
This funny dude was born with a clubbed foot, a fairly common birth defect affecting nearly one in 1,000 people. As a child he underwent surgery to have the foot corrected.
16. Karolina Kurkova
The former Victoria’s Secret model has no belly button. When she was born she suffered an umbilical hernia which required surgery and left her without a traditional navel. In almost all of her modeling photos the belly button is added digitally.
17. Taye Diggs
The actor was born with an extra finger on each hand but had the additional digits removed as a child, long before he became famous.
18. Harry Styles
The front-man for the group One Direction revealed that he has four nipples! He even joked, “I must have been a twin, but the other one went away and left its nipples behind.”

D-Roc was born with finger nubs on left hand while Kaine suffers from a mild form of cerebral palsy that causes him to limp.
20. Robert David Hall
In 1978, an 18-wheeler truck crushed his car, causing its gas tank to explode, and left more than 65 per cent of his body burned. He is an award winning actor best known for his role as coroner Dr. Albert Rollings on the hit TV show CSI.
21. Joaquin Phoenix
He was born with a condition known as microform cleft – a mild form of cleft palate that doesn’t require surgery, but does leave a permanent scar.
22. J.R. Martinez
He was just 19 when he deployed to Iraq in 2003. Less than a month later, a Humvee he was driving hit a landmine and he received burns on more than 40 percent of his body. Today, the actor and Dancing with the Stars champion views his scars as a gift. Between surgeries and therapies to stretch his tender skin, he has visited other wounded veterans — he gave them hope, and they gave him purpose.
23. Padma Lakshmi
The former model and host of Top Chef has a thick, seven-inch long scar on the front of her arm — the result of a car accident that occurred when she was 14. She now views it as a source of affirmation instead of an ugly mark.
24. Marlee Matlin
She has been deaf since she was 18 months old. She is the only deaf performer to win the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role, which she won for Children of a Lesser God at the age of 21.
25. Oscar Pistoris
He was born without calf bones and both legs were amputated below the knee when he was 11 months old. Before becoming infamous (for shooting his girlfriend) he was a world famous sprinter and Olympian.
