In what has suddenly become one of the nation’s leading news headlines, much discussion, doubt and debate on the upcoming execution of Troy Davis has ensued and for good reason.

If you’ve been out of the loop lately, Davis has captured considerable attention because of the doubt raised over whether he killed Mark MacPhail in Savannah in 1989. Almost two decades of doubt to be exact, so why all of a sudden has his life – which is to be laid on the line tomorrow – become something the American judicial system is so eager to throw away?
