It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything from Eve. Her last official release was the 2002 Eve-Olution. In 2007 she attempted a comeback with Lip Lock, with singles Tambourine & Give It To You (a Swizz Beatz production). Due to label problems, and less than enthused excitement about her “new sound”, Lip Lock never hit shelves.
In a recent interview Eve had this to say about her new album we can expect next year:
“People will recognize what they loved about me from the more hardcore, Ruff Ryder days as far lyrical contact goes, but I think there will also be a nice bridge to where I am musically, now. Because I travel so much overseas, I think there will be a big influence of world music and dance music; not crazy club dance, just a more up-tempo, mid-tempo record.”
