This year’s MTV Video Music Awards might prove to be an emotional one for viewing audiences as the late British soul siren Amy Winehouse is expected to be remembered in a special tribute performance.

The fallen star who passed just last month was recently in the studio with legendary entertainer Tony Bennett who will introduce the segment honoring her music and her life. Bennett and Winehouse recorded “Body and Soul” the last project Winehouse completed just before her death. The song is set to appear on Bennett’s new disc entitled Duets II and is set to be released by Columbia Records in just a few weeks on Winehouse’s 28th birthday (September 14th).
There’s no official word on which celebrities or vocalists will appear in the tribute, but a variety of the late singer’s hits are expected to be performed as covers live during the broadcast.
