Los Angeles has been blessed with an intimate musical display from one of the world’s premiere artists as Prince reportedly continues his staggering “21 Nite Stand” residency at the L.A. Forum. For nearly a month, other parts of the country have watched as the music legend announces random strings of live performances in support of the “Welcome 2 America” project on the west coast, but not without controversy.

Word on the street this week was of course the celebrity guest appearances from top names in both Hollywood and R&B music. This week, Chaka Khan and Whitney Houston both ended up blazing the stage with Prince, but shortly thereafter we heard Whitney had been banned (apparently a false report) from the show and that the singer was headed to rehab voluntarily. Whitney is indeed in an outpatient rehabilitation program for drug and alcohol addiction, but she was reportedly on her best behavior the other night inside the L.A. Forum for her performance.

After all of that drama, Prince began canceling shows with rumors of his band not being paid for their participation in the concerts. Nevertheless, the show must go on right? We understand that Twitter fans and die-hard Prince music lovers are finally getting what they’ve wished for – more shows! Six more performances have been added, but to keep Prince’s energy from dwindling, he’s shifting things back a day.

The new shows are scheduled for May 13-15 and May 27-29 with the highly sought after tickets on sale right now. For more info, click on the links below and be sure to leave your thoughts below on the message board. Anyone want to go with us?
