She’s not a diva, but J-Lo will accept nothing less than $12 million to be a judge on “American Idol.”

Jennifer Lopez has signed a one-year deal with Fox and will join the judging panel during auditions next week, TMZ.com reports.

According to deadline.com, the 41-year-old singer agreed to be an “Idol” judge as early as July, but has been negotiating a Fox motion picture and TV pilot deal to accompany her $12 million judging gig.

Lopez will reportedly replace dearly departed judge Kara DioGuardi, who announced earlier this month that she was leaving the show.

Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson are set to round out the panel.

Fox has reportedly delayed the official announcement of the new judging panel because J-Lo wanted it to coincide with the release of her first single with Island Def Jam (she was dropped by Sony Music Epic Records earlier this year).

But network insiders have denied that the songstress has been making diva demands, chalking up the negative press to “Idol” saboteurs. Sources told TMZ.com that Lopez’s negotiations have been “normal” and that she will be on the judges’ panel next week during auditions.

The official announcement will reportedly be made in October.Via:Thisis50.com
