Philadelphia’s legendary Roots band and R&B crooner, John Legend have teamed up to drop a new album titled “Wake Up”.
This is the second video off of the project, following “Wake Up Everybody” which features Common and Melanie Fiona.
At first I thought this would be a complete remake of Dr Dre’s “Lil Ghetto Boy”, and although John does borrow a line from that classic, he and The Roots have created something altogether different. Something very jazzy and soulful.
Their project drops September 21.
