Last night was an exciting night for more than just 101.1 The Wiz. As we kicked off the closing celebration of our “Summer Swagg Thursdays” at Pleasure Isle just in time for local teens to return to school, we thought what a great way to officially turn out the summer with the launch of another series that’s just as big?
As a matter of fact, it was so big we had to call it the “Big Jam” series and last night’s round of special guest performances proved we were right on target as Shortie Mac, Britni Elise and The New Boyz blazed the stage for the tri-state area. You guys represented and supported us all summer long so this is definitely our way of saying thank you Cincinnati and to tell you to keep on rockin’ with your favorite station – 101.1 The Wiz, your number one stop for Hip Hop and R&B.
Online we’ve been keeping you posted of all the changes and updates plus bringing you tons of exclusives so thank you for your continued hits and for checking out what we have to offer. If you were in the building last night, then you already know two of our featured acts Dorrough and the Cali Swagg District were unfortunately unable to make their previously scheduled performances, but the energy in the room was so hype, it didn’t matter because you all still came to party and end the summer on high note. No security issues, no drama, no fights – just an all night event full of great fun and even better music.
