(AllHipHop News) Rapper DMX was released from a Los Angeles jail today (August 12th), after serving a short prison term for a probation violation.

The rapper, born Earl Simmons, was released from the Los Angeles County Jail, after serving 18 days of a 90 day term for a reckless driving charge from 2002.

DMX turned himself over to authorities on July 26th, just weeks after he was released from an Arizona prison for violating his probation when he tested positive for cocaine.

“My relationship with god is so much stronger,” DMX told TMZ.com the day he went into prison. “He’s always had his hand on me. He always guided me. I didn’t always go where he wanted me to go. But he always had me. Now that I’m actually listening and being obedient, life is so much better.”

DMX is recording new material with producer Dame Grease, who has crafted numerous hits for the rapper, as well as artists like The Lox, LL Cool J, Mary J Blige, Nas and others.

Do you think DMX will remain out of trouble, out of jail and off drugs from now on?
