ANAHEIM — The Reds had more than one reason to savor the National League’s 3-1 triumph over the American League in Tuesday night’s All-Star Game.
All but one of Cincinnati’s four representatives participated in the three-run seventh inning that enabled the NL to end the AL’s 13-game unbeaten streak. The leader of the Reds’ pack was veteran Scott Rolen, a six-time All-Star selection who was playing in his fourth Midsummer Classic. Rolen’s one-out single christened the NL’s winning uprising.
