Churning out hit after hit with their last album The E.N.D., The Black Eyed Peas would seem able to have their pick of guest performers while on tour. So it was certainly a surprise to fans at the O2 Center in London on Friday (May 28) when actor Tom Cruise was the one on stage with the Hip Hop quartet.
The two aren’t completely unrelated, as the Black Eyed Peas song “Some Day” is featured in Cruise’s new film, Knight and Day – reportedly due to to the actor’s request. Cruise joined BEP on stage as they performed their hit single, “I Gotta Feeling,” after which the group debuted “Some Day.”
“Actually when they were performing, we all went to the show and Fergie sent a formal invitation to come onstage. She was like, ‘Yo, don’t be a wuss, you gotta come onstage for the last song,'” said Cruise of his appearance.
