Due to the recent killing of Dexter Burroughs secutiry has been beefed up. Matter of fact beginning this weekend 16 security cameras, up from eight, will record what’s going on inside and outside the club.
He has also turned Club Ritz into a members-only establishment, meaning patrons must become members, and the club will record who is in the club at any given time. There is no charge to be a member.
~Charlie Winburn’s Point System~
Councilman Charlie Winburn’s plan to set a new point system for bar violence was referred Wednesday to City Council’s public safety committee for discussion. He thinks the Ritz should be closed, too, but says the city has to set a policy to be enforced evenly rather than single out the Ritz now. His plan proposes to immediately shut down any bar where someone is shot and killed inside.
