April 15th is right around the corner, and hopefully this year Nas will get his taxes done extra carefully. The Illmatic MC from Queens apparently owes the state of Georgia $145,000 in back taxes from 2008. The amount was originally $58,000, but after interest and collection fees piled up, so did the amount he owes.
Nas was also hit with a similar lien last year, saying that he owes $276,439.80 for the year 2006. With the two debts combined, Nas owes $422,569.13 to the state of Georgia.
Mr. Nasir Jones was reportedly hit with a tax lien for more than $1 Million in 2012 for not paying up during the years 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010. Earlier that year, the U.S. Government claimed that he owed more than $6 Million in unpaid taxes.
The moral of this story is NOT HARD TO TELL, get those taxes done folks!
