Corene Gardner has been natural for 5 years. Her natural hair game inspired her to found Pampered Pretty, as a way to empower and encourage other naturalistas to embrace their natural hair (and haircare) journey! She began by having natural hair meetups with women in central Texas and as the gatherings grew, Corene knew it was time for her platform to do the same. She truly understands the importance of a hair regimen and helps other natural beauties implement these strategies into their daily lives through consulting.

She achieved this beautiful look by using her own product, Pampered Pretty Parfait, a homemade, shea butter based moisturizer infused with essential oils. Shea butter is such a healthy natural ingredient for our hair as it serves a soother to an irritable scalp, a sealant (lock in that moisture!) as well as a softener for our hair. Yes, please!

She then flat-twisted her hair in medium size twists. Remember, beauties, when flat twisting your hair, be sure to part and twist in the direction you want your hair to lay. She let her twists stay in overnight and then unraveled the next day.
