MC Ren is not having it! He is angry! and has a right to be. MC Ren — who is played by Adis Hodge in the N.W.A film — was a member of N.W.A along with Ice Cube, the late Eazy-E, DJ Yella andDr. Dre. Unfortunately, the trailers don’t include an appearance by Neil Brown Jr. (who plays Yella), either. He took it straight to social media to express his frustration with Universal Pictures for not depicting him in the Straight Outta Compton movie trailers.
“Man f— these bitches at universal pictures leaving me out the movie trailers tryin to rewrite history,” he tweeted on Wednesday.
Wow! MC Ren is scheduled to reunite with Ice Cube and DJ Yella to perform N.W.A classics at the BET Experience on June 27. Can’t wait for that! Straight Outta Compton, co-produced by Dre and Eazy-E’s widow Tomica Woods-Wright, will debut in theaters on August 14.
