Michael B. Jordan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie, Fantastic Four, and while she should be excited about his role, the actor is getting tired of the comments about his character’s ethnicity.

In the superhero flick, he plays Johnny Storm who is the brother to Sue Storm (played by Kate Mara), and they happen to be of different ethnicities. He went on Jimmy Kimmel Live to chat about the project and they got on the topic of identity, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“It’s kind of self-explanatory. It’s one of those things where I don’t like drawing attention to the ignorance sometimes,” he said. “You gotta let it be what it is.”

When Kimmel argued that people would be asking this question, Jordan made it clear: “There’s a thing called adoption. It happens.”
