If you missed the Jay and Bey concert last night. . . I feel bad for you son! Real Talk Jay Z and Beyonce killed it, from the song selection to the dancing the concert was turnt. It was such an amazing experience to witness The “On The Run Tour” at the Great American Ball Park. The entire stadium was full!
Not only did the duo share their stories of love through song and rap, the big screen behind them showcase their OTR movie and video clips of the conflicts they experienced while being On The Run.
The show opened with a music mix to keep the crowd occupied while waiting. Of Course song like: Bands A Make her Dance, Birthday Song and The Wobble got the crowd warmed up and ready for the Carter’s. Once the stadium lights went low and the stage got bright, the sounds of Jay Z “You ready Bey let’s go get em” followed. The crowd went wild . . . I never seen anything like it!
I love Beyoncé. She knows how to be ratchet classy, gangster and sophisticated all at the same damn time. Her back up dancers / lady band had all the skills required to rock out with the Queen Bey. Their vocals, choreography and costumes rocked! Not to mention her husband Jay, had his swag on the entire show. From his bandana hanging from his pants to his gangster shades with his biker jacket. Jay did not need a hype man his wife held him down by engaging the crowd, singing lyrics and bopping all across the stage during his performance.
When I left the show I felt high. High off love, high off life and high off the opportunity to not only be in the present of King Jay and Queen Bey . It was such an honor and a blessing to witness the true love of these two. They are so private about their love and their relationship, yet they used their experience as a testimony to others and the overall message I got from the show was: True Love is Forgiveness. “You can choose to forgive the one you love but once you make that decision you and that person will be On The Run for life” . True love conquers all, they not only have each other but they have a beautiful baby together! Family First. . . The Carters.
