Diddy took to Instagram today (Sunday, March 9, 2014) to pay tribute to The Notorious B.I.G. on the 17th anniversary of the rapper’s death.
Biggie Smalls (real name Christopher Wallace) was fatally shot on March 9, 1997 in a case that remains unsolved.
The loss inspired Diddy’s Grammy-winning single, “I’ll Be Missing You.”
In addition to writing “Miss u brother” in his series of posts, the performer also shared an image declaring Biggie “the greatest rapper of all time.”
