Our Radio One “Women’s Empowerment Conference” was a huge success! Special thanks to P&G, McDonald’s and everyone who attended the event. We began the day with the P&G “My Black Is Beautiful” documentary and Q&A session in the main ball room of the Duke Energy Convention Center. I, along with Jeri Tolliver, Program Director and host of Sister Speak hosted the session. Miss Cynthia Harrell of P&G introduced the captivating film. Everyone was enthralled with the documentary! Many requested a copy in order to share with their little girls and other family members and friends. We’ve answered the call. With the hopes of uplifting our youth and our sisters who may be struggling with self-esteem issues or are unsure as to how to embrace their natural beauty, allow this video to serve as a tool to get the conversation started. You’ll recognize a few familiar faces within the video including Tatyana Ali, Gabourey Sidibe, Gabrielle Douglas, and more.
