Despite being behind bars, Lil Wayne is still enduring legal troubles.

Just this week, a judge issued a bench warrant for the rapper in Yuma, Arizona — where he is facing drug and weapons charge — because he didn’t show for a court ordered appearance.

Obviously, Weezy couldn’t appear since he’s currently serving a one year prison sentence for a separate gun charge in New York.

Lil Wayne’s attorney, James Tilson, told the AP that his client couldn’t appear because of his current incarceration and filed motions to have his Arizona gun trial moved to a later date.

“It does not appear that a trial will be occurring anytime within the next eight to 12 months,” Tilson said.

Yuma County prosecutor Deann Sandry said it was the state’s position that Lil Wayne is now a convicted felon and that a bench warrant should be issued and his bond be increased to $150,000.

The drug and gun charges stem from a January 2008 arrest in Yuma, where his tour bus was stopped and searched at a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint. During the search, DEA agents confiscated 105 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of cocaine and 41 grams of ecstasy pills, said reports.

Wayne is facing three felony charges, and has pleaded not guilty.
