Motor shows are meant to be a chance for carmakers to escape the real world for a little while and indulge their wildest 4-wheeled fantasies. And here in Geneva, even in these supposedly recession-hit times, certain cars on display toss good sense, good taste and restraint out the window as a result. It’s not just the boutique tuners, either; mainstream manufacturers aren’t shy of some outrageous posturing. Aston Martin, Nissan and Porsche are among those displaying cars that can only be described as outrageous. We scoured the show floor to come up with the 10 most extreme vehicles we could find, those that make every other piece of sheet metal look shy and retiring by comparison. Enjoy the freak show.
