October 9, 2012 witnessed another incredible performance from the gifted musicians at the School for Creative and Performing Arts. The  Concert Band led by Todd B Conley, and Symphonic Winds took the stage on Monday conducted by David R. Burchfield. As the Reds head toward the Pennant at the Great American Ball Park on the opposite side of Downtown, Nati the band sent waves of encouragement by playing “Take Me Out To The Ball Game.” It was amazing to see and hear how much they’ve evolved since last year. I was invited back to observe and groove to the sounds of SCPA music department by Chris, percussionist. The ceremony closed out with a song that was a real crowd pleaser, “Africa: ceremony, song and ritual!” Congratulations to the gifted students on another phenomenal performance! Looking forward to seeing you on your “musical quest” in the near future.
