“Although Missy and Timbaland always strive to keep the memory of their close friend alive, we have not been contacted about the project nor are there any plans at this time to participate,” Mona Scott-Young, longtime manager for Missy Elliott, says. “We’ve seen the reports surfacing that they have been confirmed to participate but that is not the case. Both Missy and Timbaland are very sensitive to the loss still being felt by the family so we wanted to clear up any misinformation being circulated.” (Billboard)
Last week Va native Tray Songz had this to say in an interview on Wild 94.9:
“I think the [‘Enough Said’] song is dope,” Trey said in an interview. “It’s good to hear Aaliyah’s voice. Just the concept of the song was dope and just to hear her singing completely unheard lyrics was amazing to me. I didn’t really judge it from a place like is it good enough, I was just happy to hear it. … I think it would be dope if Timbaland and Missy did it though — I think that’s the best way to do it, but you don’t know the particulars on what’s going around.
