Sherman Hemsley passed away July 24, 2012 at the age of 74. The cause of death is still pending. I will forever remember him as the character, George Jefferson from the television sitcom “The Jeffersons.” The show ran for 11seasons beginning in 1975. He was a black business man, obnoxious, and witty among other things. But he also walked tall with a strut like no other and he could get down with the best of them on the dance floor.
