Born December 8, 1982 Nicki turns 29 today. She and her family are originally from Trinidad, but they moved to Queens, New York when she was just a young girl. Her mother worked, while her father abandoned the family from drug use. A performance arts high school would be an outlet for cultivating and encouraging her talents. It wouldn’t be long before Lil Wayne recognized her video on Myspace and contact her to join his Young Money label.
