After two weekends at #1, Lee Daniels’ The Butler was dethroned by  Morgan Spurlock’s 3D concert documentary, One Direction: This Is Us, at  the Labor Day box office. The One Direction concert film raked in $15.8 million for its debut. The film  follows the band’s rise to fame, from their humble hometown beginnings and  competing on the X-Factor, to performing at London’s famed O2 Arena. The Butler fell to #2 with $14.8 million this weekend, while We’re  The Millers lands at #3 with $12.6 million. The LionsGate comedy Instructions Not Included opened at #4 with $7.8  million. The film is about man who has made a new life for himself and the  daughter left on his doorstep six years ago finds his family threatened when the  birth mother resurfaces. Disney’s Planes closes out the top 5 with $7.7 million to bring its  domestic haul to $70.8 million. Ethan Hawke’s Getaway opened at a disappointing ninth place with just  $4.4 million to star. In it, Hawke plays former race-car driver Brent Magna, who  is pitted against the clock when his wife is kidnapped by a mysterious villain.  So, he commanders a young woman’s car and takes her on on a high-speed race  against time. The last new release, Eric Bana’s Closed Circuit, landed at #15 in its  first weekend with just $2.5 million.
