Bronx-based rap duo Da YoungFellaz are being sued after they allegedly spent a $130K marketing loan on marijuana and music trips, according to the New York Post.
Stigma Sounds, a recording studio in Manhattan, claims Johnny Aguiar (rap name Jay Storm), Brett Officer (Sho Biz) and associate Joseph Aguiar used loans meant to promote the group on unnecessary items. “The defendants used loan money . . . for illegal purchases of marijuana,” the suit alleges.
The suit also claims they used $14K to attend the SXSW music festival, where they did not even perform.
Da YoungFellaz recently sent out this tweet in response to the lawsuit.
