Celebrities Say Thank You Kamala Harris

Black women woke up this morning and relinquished a collective sigh. The realization set in, America hates Black women. The message is clear and yet, we still have to go to work like the world isn’t falling apart around us. Vice President Harris fought a tremendous fight and she deserves so much more. She carried the Democratic Party, on her back, in a power pantsuit and heels. Her loss to Donald Trump is disappointing and I feel defeated, but here we are. The Black community is rallying around Harris and giving her praise for a tremendous effort. Celebrities have taken to social media to say “Thank you, Kamala Harris.”

VP Harris faced insurmountable odds when she inherited the Democratic presidential nomination from President Joe Biden with less than 100 days to the election, but she fearlessly and selflessly took the reigns and charged forward. She both broke and set fundraising records, which seemed like an indicator of her popularity. The DNC was lit! But when it came down to the polls people’s true feelings prevailed, and they voted for her unqualified opponent.

Celebrities: Thank You, Kamala Harris

America proved once again that black women can be overqualified and still not get the job. WNBA star Angel Reese hit the nail on the head when she tweeted, “As a woman, I’m heartbroken for us all…” 

Power 105.1’s Charlamagne Tha God addressed disheartened listeners this morning. “I know that God is the best author and finisher. I don’t know what he’s trying to tell us right now, I don’t know what story God is writing, but I’m listening.”

Rapper Plies, who used his platform to strongly support Kamala Harris, encouraged his followers to not be discouraged. He captioned a heartfelt video from the driver’s seat, “Regardless Of How U May Feel At The Moment Just Know God Don’t Make Mistakes! He Has A Plan & His Plan I’ll Never Second Guess!! Continue To Stand For The Things U Believe In Your Heart Are Right! Never Waver B/c I Know I Won’t! Love Ya.”

Restaurateur Pinky Cole gave a tearful testimony from her car. “I’ve been an emotional mess,” she said. “Sometimes the victory ain’t always in the win, it’s in the assignment.” She continued to talk about the assignment being how far VP Harris accomplished.

2. Da Brat

Rapper Da Brat shared an image of VP Harris with the caption, “Thank you for a lifetime of service. For being the most qualified presidential candidate ever by being the only candidate to work in all three branches of government.”

3. Viola Davis

Actress Viola Davis also shared a powerful image of Kamala Harris, “Thank you for your bravery @kamalaharris. Thank you for loving America’s promise. I am and will forever be proud 💙💙💙”

4. Niecy Nash

Grotesquerie actress Niecy Nash shared her sincere feeling on social media, showing love to the VP. “With deep admiration and profound respect I sincerely THANK YOU Madame Vice President @vp. Cardi B spoke at Vice President Kamala Harris’ rally days before the election, attempting to persuade voters to vote Democrat. She even revealed she wasn’t going to vote this year until Harris joined the race. “Thank you for being an example, thank you for being a real example of what the American dream should be.”
