R&B/soul music’s rebel with a cause just might soon make her official return to the scene. We’ve been watching her random rants via Twitter alot closer lately and trust us when we tell you, she’s nothing but quiet about her views, her music and the passion she has behind everything she touches.
That’s why when we spotted the link this week only to discover it’s brand new music from Solange, we jumped at the opportunity to share the details with you all – especially those of you who understand and respect the talent Solange has with the mighty pen. She’s gifted in the area and often offers something far more eclectic than the industry is ready for, but nothing new has dropped in quite some time until today.
Notorious for equally stunning covers as she is originals, Solange took on the Boards of Canada tune “Left Side Drive.” Somber, sweltering and a bit more secure than we expected, this one is definitely on repeat although it’s not scheduled to appear on any future album from Solange.
