- In the year 2008, Lil Playy was recognized as a talented artist in BET’s Hot 16 Challenge, hosted by Jermaine Dupri.
- Lil Playy wrote last year’s hot single “My Chick Bad,” performed by DTP’s Ludacris.
- Lil Playy initially signed with de Passe Jones Entertainment and was later recognized by Jimmy Iovine; who then signed him to Interscope Geffen A&M.
- In 2011, Kelly Rowland petitioned for Lil Playy to work on her new album “Here I Am” with the album track “Work It Man.”
