One of my inspirations is this woman right here, and in case you didn’t know it was Aaliyah’s birthday today so: HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABYGIRL! No question, she was taken way too soon from family, friends, and all the millions of fans who loved and adored her. Aaliyah was at a pivotal time in her career and life when she passed. Aaliyah once described her sound as “street but sweet”. Vocally she began with silky/sultry vocals: respectable. As years passed she grew in her sound, and you could see her coming into her own. Selling over 24 million records worldwide, she has been credited for helping redefine R&B and Hip Hop. She is the original “Princess of R&B”. She has influenced many female artists today. The fellas loved her; the ladies imitated her. Aaliyah will forever and always be a one of a kind artist. Nobody can replace her. She was even bigger than her music it seemed. She was angel on earth. In other words: Aaliyah is One in a Million.
