With the ever-changing landscape known as the music industry, for new artists it might be a bit difficult to initially find their groove and really captivate new audiences with discerning tastes. Add a little star power to the mix and you might find things to end up working in your favor.
That’s why R&B newcomer Mateo chose the latter route and ended up snagging both Alicia Keys and her husband/super-producer Swizz Beatz to help propel his new project even further with the lead single “Say It’s So.” If you’re not familiar with Mateo, his R&B sound was birthed out of the Krucial Noise label owned by Kerry “Krucial” Brothers, a longtime friend and collaborator of Alicia Keys.
You’ll actually find Keys singing the chorus of the sweltering single which also features production and adlibs from Keys husband Swizz Beatz, both of whom know a thing or two about scoring hit singles of their own.
