Adam Lambert just might be one of the world’s most popular new entertainers holding up a torch for LGBT issues these days. With his sensual showmanship often being the cause of early discrepancies surrounding his career in music, the ‘American Idol’ isn’t afraid to voice not only his opinion but share his own personal experiences dealing with his sexuality.

Lamber recent recorded the upcoming ‘Behind the Music’ documentary for MTV and shared what it was like when he discovered he was gay.
“I was kind of in denial for a while and it was all in my head…,” said Lambert in an interview associated with ‘Behind the Music.’ “That’s one of the things that’s so hard about being a young person and realizing you’re gay or bi or whatever – we’re not told that that’s okay.”
Lambert continues to perform nationally despite the media attention focused on his sexuality. As he describes his journey, he also is aware that it doesn’t end there. Lambert hopes to continue to spread a message of support and courage for those coming out.
