The Corinthian Baptist Church (CBC) will host a Community Celebration event on its new property, 1701 Showcase Drive (the old Showcase Theatre in Bond Hill).  This fun-filled weekend takes place on September 3 and 4 as it prepares to begin working on its new location.

The CBC Community Celebration is free and open to the public both days. It will run from 11-7 on the 3rd and 10-7 on the 4th.  A wide variety of activities will take place throughout the weekend, starting with a ceremony to dedicate the land at 11:00 on Saturday. The rest of the day will feature food and merchandise vendors, a section for health and wellness, a kid’s zone and a showcase of local talent, including the world’s largest line dance and ending with a concert by local R&B band 2nd Wind.

On Sunday all are invited to attend CBC’s 10:00 worship service on the property. Immediately following service food and merchandise vendors will be available and CBC members will be doing outreach to community members providing some refreshments such as hotdogs, drinks and snacks. At 3:00 there will be a gospel concert featuring the Atlanta Masonics, CBC’s own Voices of Corinthian and national recording artist Vicky Winans.
