In what was the most unsuspecting tragedy of the summer live at a special event, the Indiana State Fairgrounds stage collapse has left a number of families without their loved ones today. With five already confirmed dead as a result of the horrific experience, today’s memorial services in various parts of Indianapolis are scheduled to honor the lives of those lost and impacted by the surreal event.
Indiana State Fair attendees frantically aid victims caught in the rubble of the recent stage collapse on the fairgrounds.
As previously reported, the Indiana State Fairgrounds were alive and well with thousands who had come out to celebrate the annual event. The stage collapse swiftly changed the atmosphere just minutes before popular country duo Sugarland was scheduled to perform. Strong winds and a weekend storm are the reported causes of the big collapse of this afternoon.
