Remember the Time is just a classic Michael Jackson. It’s sweet, a little suggestive and has a beat you can always dance to.

Yeah, Mike is good music and there’s nothing better than being a 12-year-old wannabe hot shot in the suburbs, and watching the Remember the Time music video. The leopard! Michael turns into to golden sand. Magic Johnson, Eddie Murphy…the sheer genius of that video made me lightheaded.

I love all of MJ’s videos. I’m an 80s baby so I came along in the advent of MTV and VH1. No one’s career read “music video” more than Michael.

Now of course, you can’t talk about Remember the Time without talking about the dance sequence. Am I the only one that did those repetitive Egyptian moves until I wore a hole in my mother’s living room floor? Sweating out my Let’s Jam? That is quite possibly one of the best choreographed pieces I’ve ever seen. It was EPIC! It was totally Michael and it’s what everyone was talking about in my seventh grade class where we rocked Hammer pants and raved over how “tight” the video was back then.

With 1992 being such a great year, Michael’s still got us jammin’.
