Antonio Toya Carter is back and this time she’s running things. Last year we were all saddened by the end of the reality show “Tiny and Toya”. The show debuted with 3million views in June of 2009. According to Nielsen Media Research, Tiny & Toya, the show chronicling the two women’s lives, finished it’s eight-episode debut season with an average of 1.8 million viewers, more than any other original series in BET history.
In an interview with Missdramatv.com Toya stated “I am sad that we won’t be back, but I understand why she made the decision. She has her singing career, the kids’ group and a wedding so as a friend I understand her need for privacy. I did land a spin off show, based on me and my family. It’s called ‘Toya’s Family Affair’ and Tiny will definitely be making some appearances.”
Toward the end of their run more and more episode’s began to revolve around Toya and her family’s struggles. If you saw the show then you were introduced to Toya’s daughter Reginae, who looks just like her father Lil Wayne. We were also made aware of Toya’s mother’s trouble with addiction and then some. With all that said BET has granted Toya her own show entitled “Toya’s Family Affair”. The clips of the spin off give us a glimpse into her family life and all of its glory.
